Author. Writer. Mom. Teacher. Wife. Coffee Lover.

I read and write love stories because I figure we need a reminder that everything can be made right, at least for a while, if we have someone who loves us for who we are, flaws and all (and I love a flawed character who drops the f bomb every now and then, or one who accidentally says the wrong thing at the wrong time). I write about young adults because I think that eighteen to twenty-two are the growing years--the years we usually branch out from those who are supposed to love us, and find those who are going to learn to love us, even if they break our hearts along the way.

Fiction writing was my first love for a long time, but then life happened, I got older, and I began writing letters to my family, essays about moments and dreams, and it hit me that writing, processing life through words, was just as impactful as creating.

I love Nora Efron movies, Nora Roberts books, coffee, large dogs, and my family. I read because it makes me happy, and I write because it makes me complete.
